“We are proud that members of Digestive Cancers Europe took part in the WECAN Academy 2026 in Gdańsk, from 25–28 June, joining patient advocates from across Europe for four days of learning, collaboration, and knowledge exchange.
From patient-centred research and clinical trials to health policy, scientific literacy, governance, sustainability, and effective communication, the Academy provided valuable tools to strengthen patient advocacy.
We return inspired and better equipped to apply this knowledge in our work, ensuring that the voices of people affected by digestive cancers continue to shape research, healthcare, and policy across 🇪🇺.
