“This is a reminder to everyone presenting at ASCO26 and, in general, anyone involved in communicating the results of oncology studies. Patients don’t progress and they don’t achieve responses either. Instead, they have disease progression or clinical responses, respectively. Language makes a massive difference to many of them, let’s always adopt a sensitive approach.
In other news, I am following the conference remotely from home in London because travel is not always easy. However, I am always available to talk about exciting research – just reach out.”
