That is why research matters so much.
Thank you, Dr. Jason Fangusaro, at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta for sharing his expertise and perspective on where DIPG research stands today and where we need to go.
Today, Rally Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research is funding 13 research projects involving DIPG and DMG. Researchers are attacking this devastating cancer from multiple directions—including CAR T-cell therapy, other immunotherapies, the blood-brain barrier, tumor biology and improved radiation approaches.
Every breakthrough starts somewhere.
At Rally, we see ourselves as philanthropic seed investors in the next great discovery. Funding promising ideas early so researchers can generate the data needed to move their work forward and compete for larger federal funding. For children with DIPG, we desperately need options beyond radiation. That requires asking new questions, testing new ideas and investing in researchers willing to tackle one of childhood cancer’s hardest problems.
