David Palacios, Senior Director of Private Sector Partnerships at The Max Foundation, shared on LinkedIn:
“As Breast Cancer Awareness Month ends, I’m reflecting on the overwhelming showcase of advances in advanced breast cancer treatment that I witnessed at ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology this year, along with the potential of personalized testing to guide treatment choices.
I was encouraged to hear thought leaders, such as Dr. Fatima Cardoso, agree on evidence-based decisions that prioritize long-term patient benefits with a deeper understanding of the patient expectations. I felt honored knowing that The Max Foundation partners with Dr. Cardoso’s organization, the ABC Global Alliance, pharma and diagnostic partners committed to the best possible innovative care for underserved people with breast cancer.
Yet challenges remain to improve outcomes and meet patient’s needs and expectations, specifically in the areas of:
- Adopting and applying clinical guidelines
- Improving quality diagnostics
- Accessing integrated breast cancer care
If you or your organization are focused on either of the above, I would love to learn more! Comment or message me so we can discussed how we can further collaborate to help support better outcomes.”
