David OMalley: Proud to Share the Publication of PRO-PLATINUM in Gynecologic Oncology

David OMalley, Professor and Division Director of Gynecologic Oncology, Co-Director, The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Proud to share the publication of PRO-PLATINUM in Gynecologic Oncology!

This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial is what bench to bedside looks like in practice. Collaborative microbiome science from the Chambers and Spakowicz labs at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center-James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute has now been translated into a prospective, interventional clinical trial testing whether a rationally selected probiotic formulation can favorably modulate the microbiome during platinum chemotherapy and improve outcomes for our patients.

This is exactly the kind of investigator-driven science that moves the field forward.

Congratulations to Dr. Laura Chambers, Dr. Dan Spakowicz, and the entire team!”
