David Heathcote: The Latest Research in Scalp Cooling and Peripheral Neuropathy

David Heathcote, Regional Manager – Europe at Paxman Scalp Cooling, shared on LinkedIn:

“Great to meet oncology healthcare professionals with Jeroen van den Wildenberg and Marco van den Wildenberg at the 42e V&VN (Verpleegkundigen and Verzorgenden Nederland) Oncologiedagen.

As anticipated, hospitals were keen to see a first glimpse of the Paxman Neuropathy System and to talk about our scalp cooling technology – particularly to hear about accelerated REGROWTH for scalp cooling patients, compared with those who do not scalp cool.

And what an inspiring evening symposium: Cooling in oncology: scalp cooling and cryo(compression) therapy. It was a privilege to hear about the latest research in scalp cooling and peripheral neuropathy, as ever led by the Queen of Scalp Cooling, Corina van den Hurk, FMASCC.

Dr Wim Breed may have waited 20 years to see one of his research ideas take off, but his patience has paid off and I look forward to updating you more on this exciting development.

It was a pleasure to meet Delphine Devenyns, from British Embassy The Hague, who continues to provide excellent support for our mission in the Netherlands.

Please come and visit us on the Incomed stand today… and to see Joris van den Wildenberg’s excellent new card game, Oncology Quest!

Thanks to everyone who came to talk to us yesterday.”
