“For people diagnosed with metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (mTNBC), treatment decisions are high stakes – each decision could be the difference between longer or poorer survival. Sometimes, patients only get one opportunity.
As innovation continues to reshape what is possible, it’s important to understand what these advances can mean to the people receiving them.
Janet and Vanessa, two women living with mTNBC, shared their experiences with an antibody-drug conjugate or ADC, a type of targeted treatment designed to deliver medicine more directly to cancer cells while limiting impact on healthy cells.
Their stories are a reminder that continued progress in oncology is measured not only by scientific advances, but also by the experiences of the people at the center of that innovation. I’m proud of the work we do at Gilead Sciences in supporting this community.
