Dana-Farber Cancer Institute shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Andrew Lane, MD, PhD, recently assumed the role of Chief, Division of Hematologic Neoplasia, building on the extraordinary foundation established by Margaret Shipp, MD.
Since joining us in 2008, Lane has demonstrated consistent leadership and impact. He became an independent faculty member in 2014, was named Associate Division Chief in 2024, and was recently promoted to Professor of Medicine — milestones that reflect both his scientific distinction and his commitment to the institute.
Lane has become a leading figure in leukemia research, with work spanning fundamental discovery and clinical translation. The Lane laboratory has advanced understanding of hematologic malignancies, with important therapeutic implications for patients.
As he steps into this role, Lane brings a deep understanding of the division’s research enterprise, a collaborative leadership style, and a clear vision for the future. We look forward to the continued growth and success of the division under his leadership.
Please join us in congratulating him on this new role.”
