Dana-Farber Cancer Institute shared a post on LinkedIn:
“We are excited and profoundly grateful to announce the largest single gift in our history through a new joint commitment from Josh and Anita Bekenstein and the Jonathan Lavine and Jeannie Lavine family. The transformational gift will name the region’s only inpatient hospital dedicated to cancer and builds on the two families’ decades-long dedication to our mission.
“We are deeply grateful for this exceptional, shared commitment, from two families who have been profoundly devoted to Dana-Farber” said Benjamin L. Ebert, MD, PhD, president and CEO. “By helping make the future cancer hospital possible, the Bekensteins and Lavines are investing in a fully integrated model of cancer care – one designed around patients and families, powered by scientific innovation, and delivered by teams whose sole focus is cancer.”
We are not just raising a building, we’re raising the standard of cancer care for everyone.”
