Professor Siew Ng, Associate Dean (Research) of CUHK Medicine, stood as one of only eight female scientists worldwide to receive the ‘2026 Trailblazer Award for Excellence in Medicine’ from the World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO).
Inaugurated in 2025, the Award honours outstanding women leaders in gastroenterology and hepatology who have not only demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and impact in advancing healthcare, education, research, mentorship, or advocacy, but also paved new paths for future female physicians.
Professor Ng has also been elected one of six awardees of the ‘2026 Outstanding Women Professionals and Entrepreneurs Award‘ organised by the Hong Kong Women Professionals and Entrepreneurs Association.
The Award recognises outstanding women professionals and entrepreneurs for their achievements and contributions to society, as well as for serving as role models locally and globally through their integrity, leadership and commitment to excellence.”
