47 Physicians Collaborate to Expand Access to Daraxonrasib for Patients With Pancreatic Cancer – Clinical Trials Program

Clinical Trials Program shared a post on LinkedIn:

“The Clinical Trials Program is proud to celebrate the incredible collaboration behind Kaiser Permanente’s Daraxonrasib Expanded Access Program (EAP).

Through strong collaboration among physician leaders, research teams, regulatory experts, pharmacists, and clinical staff, Kaiser Permanente became the first organization in Northern California and among the first in the nation to provide eligible patients with metastatic pancreatic cancer access to investigational daraxonrasib (Rasonque) through an Expanded Access Program before FDA approval.

For patients with limited treatment options, every day matters. Thanks to the dedication and agility of our teams, 47 physicians participated in the program, helping 41 patients gain access to this promising therapy when it was needed most.

The recent FDA approval of daraxonrasib highlights the important role expanded access programs play in bridging clinical research and patient care. The impact of this work continues, with 20 patients treated through commercial supply as of the end of September, ensuring ongoing access as the therapy transitioned into standard clinical use.

This milestone reflects the power of an integrated research infrastructure and a shared commitment to innovation, safety, and patient-centered care.

A special thank you to everyone who helped make this possible, including Dr. Steve Lee, Hoa Le and Dr. Lisa Law, who are some of the many physicians that participated in the Expanded Access Program (EAP); Alex Sierra, who provided regulatory leadership and support; Sadaf Sherzai who led program operations; and and Sheryl Gong, who served as the lead pharmacist for the program. We also extend our gratitude to the many physicians, research professionals, pharmacists, and patients whose partnership made this milestone a reality.”
