“On March 18, City of Smile Foundation, together with ‘Yeolyan’ Hematology and Oncology Center, hosted the official delegation of the ACT for Children initiative.

ACT for Children is a global initiative aimed at advancing pediatric oncology services in low- and middle-income countries, ensuring access to high-quality care for children.

In 2024, Armenia, through the City of Smile Foundation, became the first partner country of the program. Since then, close collaboration has been carried out, focusing on:

  • access to innovative medicines
  • improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment

Today, within the framework of the program, children undergoing treatment are also provided with four free meals a day, along with necessary nutritional supplements.

During the visit, international partners, including representatives from Servier, Amgen, and Childhood Cancer International, met with the Armenian team to:

  • summarize achievements
  • exchange experience
  • discuss new avenues for cooperation

Our goal is: to ensure a sustainable, high-quality pediatric cancer care system in Armenia, as well as access to the best available treatment for all children.”

Ester Demirtshyan, Executive Director at City of Smile Charitable Foundation, shared this post, adding:
