Chuck Stravin’s, Patient Advocate-Volunteer at American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), shared a post on X:
“Honored to stand with Governor Maura Healey, Toni Choueiri and other members of Dana Farber
team today, as Massachusetts announced major prior authorization reforms.
For cancer patients, delays aren’t paperwork. They’re fear, uncertainty, and time.
These changes will help patients across Masachusetts access critical care faster and with fewer barriers.
Progress matters. Patients matter. Thank you Governor Maura Healey for putting patients first.”
To which Toni Choueiri, Medical Doctor and Professor at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, added:
“Thank you Chuck Stravin for all that you did today —we were all proud to have Governor Maura Healey announce this major reform from Dana Farber grounds!
We need less red tape and more timely care. Put patients first — not paperwork.”
