“Servant Leadership Award
Deeply grateful to Chris Looney and Fulcrum Nonprofit Leadership (Fulcrum) for the 2026 Servant Leadership Award.
I was raised in a faith community and a family that believed deeply in volunteerism and giving back. I also had the good fortune to launch my career with Jimmy Carter, the ultimate servant leader.
Those values continue to guide me, and I feel both privileged and responsible to lead philanthropy at the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI).
To me, leadership is ultimately about service.
Congratulations to my fellow awardees: Miki Jordan, of Martha’s Village and Kitchen, Steve Delgado and Shirley Torres, Co-CEOs of Homeboy Industries, and Charlene Dimas-Peinado, President and CEO of Wellnest.”
