Now in its remarkable 35th year, the American Association for Cancer Research Molecular Biology in Clinical Oncology (aka “Aspen”) course has been dedicated to training for and support of physician scientist leaders in all oncology sub-specialties.
The didactics change. The hands-on labs change. The funding for the course changes. But the critical networking, camaraderie, and emergent friendships are constant over decades.
This course has become a ‘must attend’ for physician scientists faculty alum like Nobel Prize winner Bill Kaelin, Levi Garraway, Kimryn Rathmell, James Downing, Michael Kastan, and so many more.
This year, we join with trainees and early career faculty from across the country to share tips on career development, grant writing, and professionalism.
The opportunity to nurture physicians at the intersection between discovery science and patient care is more important than ever!
