“Remember the mapping of IMPACTEU?

Let’s talk about terminology for a shared understanding and a joint effort for a complete landscape of psychosocial care!

Psychosocial support addresses the social, emotional, informational and practical challenges faced by patients and their families.

Psychosocial support is usually open and accessible according to the family’s choice.

It is not based on a risk score or clinical assessment, and the same type of support may be available to different families.

It can take place inside or outside the hospital and does not require clinical documentation. Importantly, psychosocial support complements care it does not replace professional care when this is needed!
