SIOP Europe, the European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOPE) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Gold September will shortly conclude, but the series dedicated to highlighting the key elements of ensuring the best possible care for childhood cancer patients continues.
CCI-E, together with SIOPE, have developed and released the European Standards of Care for Children and Adolescents with Cancer. The document brings together insights from patients and professionals to ensure that each paediatric oncology patient has equal access to state-of-the-art treatment and care.
Given the limited availability of childhood cancer treatment modalities, collaboration and cross-border care should be ensured.
In response to this, international initiatives such as the European Reference Network for Paediatric Cancer creates a map of healthcare centers renowned for their expertise to facilitate the communication between healthcare providers and patients no matter where they are.”
Childhood Cancer International – Europe shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Every child deserves the best care, no matter where they live.
Cross-border collaboration ensures all children with cancer can access the treatments they need, even if not available in their own country. Together, initiatives like ERNPaedCan are breaking barriers and uniting Europe for better care.
