“Can’t wait for next week — it’s all things research and innovation at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS)!
Our NCIS Research and Innovation Week 2026 brings together patients, clinicians, researchers, educators and collaborators for a week of ideas, discovery and conversations about how science can improve cancer care.
We start on 25 Aug 2026 with our Research Day (organized by our clinical trials unit, HORG with NUS Centre for Cancer Research (N2CR) | NUS Medicine), a day especially for our patients, including those participating in clinical trials, and their caregivers. It is an opportunity to discover the world of clinical trials, learn how research is shaping the future of cancer care, and understand how patients themselves can contribute to advancing that future.
What began 13 years ago with the NCIS Annual Research Meeting (NCAM) has grown into an entire week of research and innovation — spanning clinical trials, health economics, surgical oncology, primary care cancer research and more.
But what excites me most is not simply the number of events. It is the cross-pollination of ideas, disciplines and people, all coming together around one common purpose: how do we improve outcomes for our patients?
This is what being part of an academic health system at NUHS is all about — bringing science, clinical care and education together to create greater impact.
Looking forward to a week of new ideas, new collaborations and, hopefully, the beginnings of what comes next.”
