Charles Roberts, Cancer Center Director and Executive Vice – President at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Exciting to see such progress at this week’s Pediatric Cancer Dependencies (PedDep) Accelerator retreat. Given the scale of discovery and progress emerging it’s hard to believe we launched this collaboration only 3.5 years ago.
This year’s retreat had over 120 scientists and trainees from the Broad Institute, Dana-Farber and St. Jude coming together in Memphis to discuss advances from the project including new mechanisms, cancer vulnerabilities with therapeutic potential, and expansion of large-scale pediatric cancer datasets to be shared with the global research community.
What started as a first-in-kind collaboration has evolved into a highly integrated discovery engine with new publications emerging and discoveries moving toward clinical translation for children with cancer.
It was a wonderful two days of science, energy, and excitement for where this work is headed next.”
