I’ll be presenting on an innovative model of Shared Medical Appointments and group health coaching for cancer survivors (the ‘Take Charge’ program).
Andy Hampson and I ran 6 Take Charge programs at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, and our participants spoke of important changes such as knowing how to move forward, being able to set goals, adopting healthier lifestyles, and feeling less alone in their cancer journey.
The combination of a medical doctor and health coach in the one room, and the group nature of the program, was seen as highly valuable.”
