Caroline Chukwu, Founder and Executive Director of Acetrea Cancer Advocacy Network, Oncology Nurse at Rivers State University Teaching Hospital – RSUTH, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“From Vision to Recognition: A Reflection on Purpose, Impact, and Possibility.
A few years ago, I started an initiative called Acetrea – Igniting Potentials.
It was born from a deep desire to create sustainable solutions for young people, helping them discover who they are, develop practical skills, find purpose, and become leaders who create positive change in their communities.
Today, I am deeply honored and grateful to receive a Certificate of Excellence from the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), SDSN Nigeria, and SDSN Youth, recognizing me and Acetrea as one of the 150 Outstanding Young Nigerians featured in the Nigeria SDG Solutions Report 2025.
This recognition is not just about me. It belongs to every young person who believed in their potential, every volunteer who dedicated their time, every mentor who offered guidance, every partner who believed in the vision, and every member of the Acetrea community.
I am especially grateful to God for His grace and faithfulness throughout this journey. What began as a desire to help transform lives has grown into a movement focused on purpose, leadership, and lasting impact.
This recognition is both a privilege and a responsibility. It is a reminder that there is still much work to be done in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), empowering young people, and building sustainable solutions that create lasting change.
Thank you to the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), SDSN Nigeria, SDSN Youth, the Acetrea community, my mentors, friends, and everyone who has supported this journey.
The journey continues. We remain committed to igniting potential, developing leaders, and creating sustainable impact.”
