Capucine Baldini: Improving the Representation of Older Adults in Clinical Trials During SIOG and CARG Masterclass

Capucine Baldini, Medical Oncologist at Gustave Roussy, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“What a panel to discuss about how to improve the representativity of older adults in clinical trials during SIOG Cancer and Aging Research Group (CARG) masterclass.

Despite representing a large and growing proportion of patients with cancer, older adults remain underrepresented in clinical research. This gap limits the generalizability of trial results and ultimately impacts the quality of care we can provide.

Thank you to Beverly Canin, Heidi Klepin, Eddie Martucci from Resilience Care, Bindu Kanapuru from FDA, Martine Extermann and Grant Williams for these fruitful discussions on potential incentives to foster inclusion.”
