European School of Oncology shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Over the weekend, we concluded the in-person seminar of our course ‘Basics in Breast Cancer Surgery’, bringing together participants and faculty for two days of hands-on learning, open discussion, and shared experience.
After weeks of engaging with the pre-recorded online lectures, participants met in London to put theory into practice.
Each attendee worked directly on a custom-made surgical model, guided closely by international mentors while exploring procedures such as sentinel lymph node biopsy, axillary dissection, localisation of non-palpable lesions, and a full range of oncoplastic techniques.
What makes this course special is not only the technical training, but the atmosphere of collaboration it creates: surgeons at different stages of their careers learning from one another, exchanging perspectives, and strengthening a community committed to modern, patient-centred breast cancer surgery.
A warm thank you to Chair Riccardo A. Audisio and to all faculty and participants for their dedication and enthusiasm!
Endorsed by the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO).”
