Cynthia Jordan: Young Breast Cancer Patients Deserve Fertility Conversations
Cynthia Jordan, Founder of Learn Look Locate, shared a post on LinkedIn:
”Young Breast Cancer Patients Deserve Fertility Conversations
Too often, when someone is diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age, the focus is only on treatment. But what about the future? What about the dreams of starting or growing a family? These conversations about fertility preservation are life-changing – and they should never be left out of cancer care.
That’s why I am so honored to welcome Lalymar “Laly” Havern, PharmD, MS as a Medical Advisor to Learn Look Locate.
For nearly four years, I’ve worked closely with Laly Havern and the compassionate Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy team. Together, we’ve seen how pharmacy support — from fertility preservation programs and one-on-one pharmacist guidance to injection training and financial aid navigation — can give young patients the knowledge and confidence they deserve when making decisions about their future.
Laly’s vision and dedication ensure these resources move from being overlooked to being an integral part of breast cancer care.
This collaboration with Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy is just the beginning. Together, we will continue to expand awareness and support — so that every patient who hopes to plan a family feels informed, empowered, and never left behind.”
