Benjamin L. Ebert: Congratulations on an Outstanding AACR 2026 Meeting

Benjamin L. Ebert, President and CEO at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Last week’s AACR meeting showcased the tremendous rate of progress in cancer research, including stunning progress in treating pancreatic research presented by Brian Wolpin, MD, MPH, Director of the Hale Family Center for Pancreatic Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

I am so proud of Kim Stegmaier, MD, chair of Pediatric Oncology, who was awarded the AACR-St Baldrick’s Foundation for Outstanding Achievement in Pediatric Cancer Research. And Eliezer Van Allen, MD, chief of Population Sciences, who was awarded the AACR-Waun Ki Hong Award for Outstanding Achievement in Translational and Clinical Cancer Research. And Alice Shaw, MD, PhD, our chair of Medical Oncology, who was the Program Co-Chair of the tremendously successful meeting. Alice and Kim were also elected as fellows of the AACR Academy, along with Matt Vander Heiden, MD, PhD.

In addition, the AACR Team Science Award went to the Cancer Dependency Map (DEPMAP) team, including a core of Dana-Farber investigators. Indeed, Kim Stegmaier and Eli Van Allen have worked for many years in close collaboration with the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard Institute. From cancer genomics to genetic screening to therapeutics, the collaboration of Dana-Farber and Broad Institute investigators has led to historic discoveries.

Congratulations again to all of our colleagues who contributed to an amazing meeting!”
