Ben Vanneste: National Indication Protocol Offers Proton Therapy to High-Risk Seminoma Patients

Ben Vanneste, Professor of Prostate Cancer Brachytherapy at UZ Gent, shared on LinkedIn:

“Happy to share the publication of our work on developing a National Indication Protocol for Proton Therapy for seminoma testis patients in the Netherlands. The goal is to reduce the risk of subsequent primary cancers, and under this protocol, about 75% of patients qualify for proton therapy.

Further research will help incorporate non-oncological late effects into future selection criteria. Congratulations to Nienke Kuijsters on this great achievement!”
