Azadeh Abravan, Research Fellow at The University of Edinburgh, shared on LinkedIn:
“Here’s to the mentors who inspire us, open doors, and remind us to keep going, even in the brief moments our paths cross.
Seeing my ‘ad hoc mentor’, Clifton (Dave) Fuller, receive the 2026 ASTRO Mentorship Award was such a heartwarming moment.
Although we’re based on opposite sides of the Atlantic, our paths cross occasionally through ESTRO. Yet, even in just a few brief conversations each year, I always come away feeling encouraged, supported, and motivated.
Dave is a lovely reminder that mentorship isn’t always about formal arrangements or time spent together. Sometimes, a few meaningful conversations can make a lasting difference.”
