Why We Rally Together – Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist
Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Our community rallied together to tackle childhood cancer at today’s second annual Gold Rush Game.
Decked out with gold ribbons, the Wake Forest University football team huddled up alongside Atrium Health Levine Children’s Brenner Children’s Hospital and more than 1,000 teammates from Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist to shine the spotlight on incredible kids like Shane.
Despite his battle with Stage 3 Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma—including months of fierce chemotherapy, a feeding tube, and the challenge of septic shock—Shane has powered through with remarkable grit. Now, he’s eyeing a victory of his own: a clear PET scan and the long-awaited ringing of the bell this October.
With the team behind him, Shane took the field and reminded us of why we rally together, every season, for children and families facing cancer.”
