Arndt Vogel and Jose Tapia: Phase II GLEAM Study Results in Metastatic PDAC

Arndt Vogel, Head of the Center for Personalized Medicine, MHH at Medical University of Hanover, shared a post on X:

“Zolbetuximab plus gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel in CLDN18.2+ metastatic PDAC – phase II GLEAM study:

  •  Primary endpoint not met, no OS and PFS benefit
  • Toxicity manageable
  • Not the right drug, but maybe the right target.”

Jose Tapia, Medical Oncologist at Velindre University NHS Trust, shared Arndt Vogel’s post, adding:

“Ph2 Zolbetuximab + GN in PDAC increased nausea, vomiting and hypoAlb (>10%).

These AEs appear early. In an already nutritionally depleted population, they may worsen nutrition, impacting OS or Tx duration despite early responses. Proactive AE management is key.”
