Polikalipo Kagina, Innovation and Communication Officer at the Radiotherapists’ Association of Tanzania, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“AORTIC-Africa countdown days is on, a gathering of brilliant minds advancing cancer care and radiotherapy innovations across Africa.
This will be a great opportunity to connect, learn, and contribute to discussions shaping the future of oncology in our region.
The World Radiotherapy Awareness Day (WRAD) team will also be represented (Sandra Turner, Dr Katie Wakeham ) to continue our mission of celebrating the power of radiotherapy in saving lives and advocating for equitable access to cancer treatment worldwide.
We aim to connect with oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists, patients advocates, supporting organizations/Associations to share the WRAD vision and build collaborations that inspire change. Among other plans you have for the AORTIC add one, to visit the WRAD booth and poster, engage with us, share insights, and highlight the importance of radiotherapy in improving cancer outcomes.”
