“Siope Btg Annual Meeting, Athens 2026!
The SIOP Europe, the European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOPE) brings together healthcare professionals and researchers across Europe working in pediatric central nervous system (CNS) tumors, promoting collaboration in research, clinical trials, treatment, education, and improving quality of life for children and adolescents with these tumors.
It was a pleasure to be in Athens for this year’s BTG Annual Meeting. There were many interesting presentations and discussions throughout the meeting, with plenty of opportunities to hear about the work being done across different countries and centers.
I was especially proud of my colleague Andrea Carai, who presented about the upcoming Craniopharyngioma course in Rome.
It was also great to hear Dr. Michael Fisher, Chief of the Neuro – Oncology Section and Director of the Neurofibromatosis Program at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
And, as always, some of the best parts of these meetings happen outside the conference room – catching up with colleagues from different countries, talking about cases and experiences, and sharing ideas for future collaborations.
