Andrew Wallace: Charity Cycle Ride for Cancer Research UK

Andrew Wallace, Programme Director of British Climate Partners at British International Investment, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“I’ve got another charity cycle ride coming up. A bit less intensive than last year’s run to Paris but no less needy a cause. I’m riding 85 miles around the Highlands next month for Cancer Research UK (CRUK). (There is also an extra 30-odd miles getting there and back due to inadequate bike storage on certain ScotRail services…).

As both cancer and cycling are all too close to my heart – and I miss haggis as part of my cooked breakfast – this seemed like a worthy alignment of interest and cause. Any contributions welcome to ensure I keep training – and avoid being picked up by the rescue van halfway around Loch Rannoch.

I really appreciated the support from LinkedIn contacts for the ride to Paris, where I raised nearly £4k (overall the ride raised around £150k for St Christopher’s Hospice).

Just giving link for this year’s trip here.”
