It was a great honor to welcome His Excellency Prof. Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, Th Egyptian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, at Ain Shams University Cancer Hospital – accompanied by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Diaa Zain El-Abedeen, President of Ain Shams University; Prof. Dr. Ali El-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; and Prof. Dr. Tarek Youssef, Executive Director of Ain Shams University Hospitals with a prominent list of Ain Shams University leaders.
The visit centered on a shared and ambitious vision: the development and expansion of our Oncology Buildings Complex – a transformative step toward elevating the standard of cancer care we provide to our patients and the broader community.
As Director of Ain Shams University Cancer Hospital, I am proud to witness this high-level commitment to advancing oncology infrastructure in Egypt. Such visits reaffirm that our efforts on the ground are seen, valued, and supported at the highest levels of academic and governmental leadership.

“Honored to welcome the H.E Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and H.E President of Ain Shams University during their visit to Ain Shams University Hospitals and Ain Shams University Cancer Hospital.
The visit provided an opportunity to showcase our ongoing transformation and ambitious expansion plans. Key developments include the upcoming launch of our second external beam radiotherapy unit, bringing state-of-the-art precision radiotherapy technology to more patients and expanding access to advanced cancer treatment.
In parallel, renovating and upgrading our systemic therapy infusion unit to further improve the patient experience and increase treatment capacity.
These efforts will be complemented by the expansion of services within our new hospital building, enabling us to serve a growing number of patients while strengthening our position as a leading center for comprehensive cancer care, education, and research.
