“I’m excited to introduce ASPIRE (Asian Cancer Survivorship Program for Implementation, Research and Education), based in the Department of Cancer Survivorship and Wellness at the National Cancer Centre Singapore.
More people in Asia are living beyond a cancer diagnosis than ever before. Yet much of what we know about survivorship care comes from Western populations, and it doesn’t always fit the needs, cultures and health systems of Asian patients.
ASPIRE sets out to close that gap through three areas of work:
- Implementation: building culturally adapted survivorship care pathways, from managing side effects during treatment to long-term follow-up.
- Research: testing innvoative approaches to prevent and manage the symptoms survivors live with, from physical to psychological symptoms.
- Education: equipping all healthcare providers with evidence-based survivorship care tailored to Asian patients.

We’re now building the team, and I’m hiring for two roles:
Research Fellow – PhD in a healthcare or biomedical field, with an interest in implementation science, translational science and data analytics. A background in nursing, allied health or biomedical science is a strong plus.
