“Last week, the Organisation of European Cancer Institutes (OECI) carried out a two-day onsite accreditation audit at the Clínic Barcelona Comprehensive Cancer Centre (4CB).
It was an intense and inspiring exercise, with the auditors reviewing every aspect of our activity, from clinical pathways and research integration to teaching, governance, innovation, and patient-centred care. These assessments are demanding, but they are essential. They help us understand where we stand, where we can improve, and how we can keep elevating the standard of cancer care and research.
A huge thank you to all the professionals across the Campus Clínic who contributed with rigor, openness and enthusiasm. Your commitment truly reflects who we are and where we want to go.
We now await the final OECI report and recommendations, which will guide us in the next steps of our journey.
