Aleix Prat, Director of the Clínic Barcelona Comprehensive Cancer Center at Barcelona Clinical Hospital, shared a poat on LinkedIn:
“Good news for the country: the hospitals of the C17 are working on the creation of a comprehensive network for cancer care.
A project that aims to strengthen coordination between centres, share knowledge and ensure that diagnosis, treatment and research reach the entire territory with the same quality.
The XIC-C17 would integrate 1 comprehensive cancer center and 5 hospitals: the Hospital de Granollers, the Hospital de Mollet, the Hospital de Sant Celoni, the Consorci Hospitalari de Vic and the Hospital de Campdevànol.
The aim is to move towards shared functional units in different tumours and to build a more collaborative, equitable and integrated care model.
There is still work to be done, but we are taking the first steps with determination and with the conviction that working together will make us better.
News.”
