“Today I’m sharing a photo that means a lot to me: the 2025 Medical Oncology Service, a team I’ve been proud to belong to since 2014.
The service is now led by Prof. Teresa Macarulla, whose commitment, talent, and generosity are shaping a new stage for Medical Oncology at Campus Clínic Barcelona. Teresa, thank you for taking on this role and for everything you’re already bringing to the team.
Over the last years, my work has moved toward broader responsibilities within the Cancer Institute Blood Disorders and the Clínic Barcelona Comprehensive Cancer Center (4CB). Even so, seeing this group together reminds me how much of what we are building across the Institute and the 4CB comes from teams like this: people who show up every day, work hard, and care deeply about improving the lives of people with cancer.
A huge thank-you to all my colleagues in the service, past and present. We’ve lived a lot together, and there’s still much more ahead.
This photo captures something simple but powerful: the strength of an institution is always in its people. And with teams like this, the future looks bright.”
