“We are proud to announce that the “European Standards of Care” are now officially available in Italian.
This achievement was made possible thanks to the commitment of Fiagop ETS, which coordinated the Italian translation, with the scientific supervision and support of AIEOP.
A special thanks to Childhood Cancer International – Europe and SIOP Europe, the European Society for Paediatric Oncology (SIOPE).
Language matters.
Making these important standards available in Italian means making knowledge, guidance and information more accessible to the people who need them.
It is an important step toward:
- Promoting more consistent care for children and adolescents with cancer across Italy, in line with the highest European standards.
- Supporting healthcare professionals with clear, evidence-based guidance in their daily practice.
- Helping families access clear and reliable information in their own language throughout their child’s cancer journey.
This achievement reflects the value of collaboration between the scientific community and patient/parent associations.
By working together, we can continue to strengthen pediatric cancer care and help ensure better outcomes and quality of life for every child and adolescent, regardless of where they live.
