The Italian Association of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology (AIEOP) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Happy Holidays! Message from the President and Board of Directors.
Dear all,
As 2025 comes to a close, we have just one word to share: thank you.
Thank you to everyone who has represented AIEOP in the many local, national, and international initiatives, giving voice to our community.
A special word of thanks goes to the coordinators and members of the Working Groups: in 2025, the many scientific and educational initiatives they proposed significantly enriched AIEOP’s scientific heritage.
Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the Nursing Working Group, always actively involved in organizing courses, Journal Clubs, and moments of discussion that have engaged colleagues across the entire network.
Thank you to the Adolescent Group for the traveling exhibition “The Beauty of Imperfection,” which throughout the year was hosted in various centers and settings, giving visibility to the stories and perspectives of our young people. Many centers have already joined or scheduled the exhibition for 2026; we encourage anyone interested in hosting it or promoting similar initiatives to contact the group.
Thank you to those who listened to the needs of young people and helped initiate a structured dialogue that resulted in several well-attended educational events. Many more are already planned for the coming year and will be available on the AIEOP website and our social media channels.
Thank you to the Fiagop ETS President, Sergio Aglietti: over the course of this year, a strong collaborative relationship has been consolidated, enabling AIEOP to work in an increasingly coordinated way with parent associations present in our centers.
Thank you to Fondazione Umberto Veronesi ETS for its ongoing support, particularly through projects dedicated to treatment protocols and clinical registries in pediatric oncology, developed in collaboration with AIEOP.
Our sincere thanks go to the Clinical Trial Office for its commitment to the activation and management of clinical protocols – an essential element in offering patients up-to-date and shared treatment pathways.
We also thank our press office and our social media manager for their daily commitment to communication, demonstrated through care, precision, and availability. We invite you to support this work by sharing AIEOP content on your institutional and personal channels.
A truly special thank-you to our tireless secretariat for her continuous support of the activities of the Executive Board, the Working Groups, and all members.
Finally, thank you to all of you and your families, to the staff working in our centers, to the children and young people in care, and to their families. Please accept our warmest wishes for happy holidays and a peaceful new year.
May 2026 be, for everyone, a year of peace, mutual respect, and concrete collaboration in support of the children and young people who entrust themselves to our care.
Angela Mastronuzzi, AIEOP President
& Board of Directors.”
