Ahed Makhoul: 12 Oncology Professionals Chosen for the NCCN Advocacy Academy Fellowship

Ahed Makhoul, Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellow at Cleveland Clinic, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Honored to be selected for the inaugural NCCN Advocacy Academy Fellowship!

I am thrilled to be among the 12 oncology professionals chosen for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) Advocacy Academy Fellowship.

Our patients face systemic challenges every day that medicine alone can’t fix. This program is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between clinical practice and public policy.

I look forward to learning from national leaders and meeting with congressional delegations to champion policies that improve the lives of everyone impacted by cancer.

Thank you to the NCCN Policy Team for this incredible opportunity, and to the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Institute for their incredible support and for empowering me to take this step into national advocacy. Drs. Jame Abraham, Laura Shoemaker, Bethany Samuelson Bannow, and Michael McNamara.
