Adrian Pogacian: Whole-Person Care as a New Concept at the European Women Cancer Assembly

Adrian Pogacian, Founder of INCKA Psycho-oncology Center, shared a post on Linkedin by Alma Seidel, adding:

“Today’s webinar organized by Women Cancer Europe was about Whole-Person Care. A new concept and topic within the big oncological family.

Join us for the European Women Cancer Assembly, Brussels 28-30 September 2026.”

Quoting Alma Seidel:

”Back then, as a first-time mom, from the moment I felt something wasn’t right, everything began to change.

And hearing the pediatrician ask me to sit down, only accelerated the roller coaster we were about to ride.

We were fortunate to live in a country with a first-class healthcare system. Although it took longer than I would have wanted to reach the cancer diagnosis, the treatment my daughter received was successful. For all of us.

We received outstanding medical care, but it definitely wasn’t Whole-Person Care.

As Jeff Waldron shared during today’s WCE Webinar, I believe now we’re all trying to find ways to make this journey better for others.

That’s why the work we do at Women Cancer Europe makes so much sense to me… The way we work, the change we strive for, and the support we want to provide.

And as Adrian Pogacian said, ‘caregivers are the forgotten patient’.
We need Whole-Person Care too.

Whole-Person Care integrates the physical, psychological, social, practical, financial, and spiritual dimensions of a person’s experience.

But when we hear the word spiritual, many of us immediately think of religion. But as Rohini Singh Sisodia so beautifully explained and guided us through today, what the spiritual dimension includes is meaning, purpose, identity, sense of self, connection, existence, intuitive intelligence, mortality, legacy, and hope.

No wonder why I became a Coach, specifically a Transpersonal Coach.

Looking back, is clear that this was the gap I personally needed to address on my own Whole-Person Care journey.

Because it’s not only about the cure.

It’s also about embracing the deeply human journey of understanding who we are, searching for meaning, living with purpose, and reflecting on how we want to be remembered.

Thank you all for today’s Webinar!

I’m so grateful to be part of Women Cancer Europe and deeply inspired by the vision of our Founder and President, Atefeh Sadeghi, who is also creating an incredible opportunity for all of us to come together at the upcoming European Women Cancer Assembly (28–30 September 2026, Brussels).

There, we’ll continue exploring what Whole-Person Care truly means and, most importantly, how we can make it a reality for everyone.”
