Lisa A. Lacasse: Proud of ACS CAN Advocates and Their Impact

Lisa A. Lacasse, President of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN), shared a post on LinkedIn:

“What an extraordinary week in Washington, D.C.! Leadership Summit and Lobby Day is always one of the most meaningful moments of the year. I had the privilege of standing alongside American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) volunteers from every state and territory as they brought their stories, their strength, and their unbeatable commitment to Capitol Hill.

We met with 90% of Congress. We saw the Nancy Gardner Sewell Medicare Multi-Cancer Early Detection Screening Coverage Act pass the House Ways and Means Committee with unanimous support. It is now the second most supported bill in Congress and the most supported bill in the House. That kind of progress was made possible by ACS CAN advocates!

I am so proud and thankful for our ACS CAN team, our volunteers, my ACS colleagues, and our partners. Your voices are powerful and your advocacy is making a difference.

Thank you for continuing to fight for everyone impacted by cancer!”
