ACREOL Global Empowering Cancer Care in Africa – UICC

Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) shared a post on LinkedIn:

“ACREOL Global, a UICC member, is working to improve the quality of life and care for people living with, or who have experienced, cancer across the African continent.

Its initiatives focus on supporting patients and families facing life-threatening illness, including cancer, and is grounded in African sociocultural perspectives.

Recently, ACREOL trained health workers in palliative care at Hospital Shyira in the Nyabihu District in Rwanda.

Now, those same health workers are mentoring their colleagues – ensuring that people living with cancer, and their families, receive care with dignity and compassion.”
