Global Pediatric Cancer Care and Nurse Education Expand Worldwide – Princess Máxima Center

Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology shared on LinkedIn:

“Worldwide, more than 400,000 children are diagnosed with childhood cancer each year. Not every child has access to the same quality of care, timely access to care, or an accurate diagnosis.

As a result, chances of survival depend heavily on the region and country where children live. That is why Máxima International collaborates with leading pediatric oncology centers around the world to help cure more children with childhood cancer – already with almost 30 centers across the world.

As the next step, we’re providing support by having four nurse educators, nine pediatric oncology nurses and nurse practitioners, along with five child life specialists, regularly travel to partner sites to assess local educational needs and exchange knowledge.

We congratulate our colleagues on this meaningful step in their careers.”
