Martha Wanjiru: Every Screening Is a Chance to Build Healthier Communities

Martha Wanjiru, Nurse Educator and ToT in Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening and Treatment of Precancerous Lesions Screening, Cervical Advocate and Champion Kiambu County, Kenya, shared a post on LinkedIn:

Madaraka Day was a day of service and impact.in Gatundu north Kiambu county
I celebrated this year’s Madaraka Day by screening women for breast cancer, cervical cancer, and obstetric fistula, while also providing treatment for precancerous cervical lesions.

As a nurse, I believe that true freedom includes access to quality healthcare, early detection, and timely treatment. Being hands-on in the community allows me to make a direct difference in the lives of women and families.

Every woman screened is an opportunity to prevent disease, save a life, and promote healthier communities.
I remain committed to advancing women’s health through awareness, screening, treatment, and navigation of clients with abnormal findings.

Happy Madaraka Day! Serving with passion, purpose, and compassion.”
