“April is Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month. And I want to give a shout out to my fellow patient advocate and friend, David Chuter, who I came to know through our mutual participation as advocates on teams funded by Cancer Grand Challenges.
Dave is a 20 yr survivor of esophageal cancer and has translated his lived experience into a life of service as a formidable patient advocate. In addition to his participation in the Cancer Grand Challenges program, he also serves as Board Chair for Digestive Cancers Europe, leads a program to teach patient advocates the ins and outs of research and so much more.
We bonded over some serious ping pong battles at the Cancer Grand Challenges Summit in London in 2023. He is a friend and mentor who shares his knowledge and experience generously with the world.”
