“Cancer turns everything upside down. And as World Cancer Day approaches, together with Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), we are presenting Life Stories: Cancer Journeys — a year-long initiative capturing what happens when a diagnosis flips your world.
People from around the world — patients in treatment, caregivers holding space, family members learning to grieve, clinicians witnessing what charts can’t capture — are documenting their lived experiences using instax cameras. One photo. One reflection. Every month.
Together, we’re building a global narrative that honors every unique story of facing cancer and reinforces this year’s World Cancer Day theme — United By Unique.
Fujifilm is proud to stand as a Visionary Partner alongside the UICC, working to support those impacted by cancer. As a total healthcare company, we are committed to reducing the burden of cancer and improving patient outcomes — from advancing diagnostic imaging technology to supporting oncology therapy development through our CDMO services and expanding access to early detection through our NURA health screening centers.”

“Thank you to our partner Fujifilm Europe for supporting our work towards people-centred care through the World Cancer Day campaign.
As part of this initiative, our 12 people. 12 cameras. 12 months. project highlights twelve individuals affected by cancer – from diverse countries, backgrounds, and experiences – who share their stories through one photograph each month, offering a personal, visual diary of their unique cancer experience.”
