Ravindran Kanesvaran, Chairman of the Division of Medical Oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, and Distinguished Professor of Geriatric Oncology at Duke-NUS Medical School, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Just back from an inspiring week at SIOG 2025 in Ghent, Belgium. This year’s meeting was not only the largest ever in attendance, but also one of the strongest in terms of breakthrough research in geriatric oncology – from real-world data to pragmatic models of care for older adults with cancer.
I’m especially proud of the National Cancer Centre Singapore Geriatric Oncology team, which had its best showing so far with 3 invited speakers and 4 poster presentations this year. It was a great opportunity to showcase our work from Singapore on a truly global stage.
Equally valuable was the chance to reconnect with long-standing GO colleagues, forge new collaborations, and exchange ideas on how to deliver better, more person-centred cancer care for older patients. Also shoutout to OncoDaily for their social media support for the events
Already looking forward to keeping this momentum going at SIOG Valencia 2026.”
