Raffaella Casolino: Honoured to Discuss the ROME Trial and Celebrate Italy’s Cancer Genomics Progress

Raffaella Casolino, Technical Officer in the Department of Noncommunicable Diseases, Rehabilitation, and Disability at WHO in Geneva, shared a post by Andrea Botticelli, Associate Professor at Sapienza Università di Roma, adding:

“Congratulations Andrea Botticelli and everyone who contributed to this incredible effort which shows the power of the Italian oncology community to work collaboratively for the benefits of our patients. This is a successfully story that deserves to be amplified – so much to learn – and will soon open the doors to a national Italian cancer genomics programme.

Times are mature! I was so priviledged and honoured to be the discussant of the ROME trial at AIOM | Associazione Italiana di Oncologia Medica last year – I still remember my emotions on the stage and those of the people in the room. Congratulations again and again to my wonderful Italian colleagues.”

Quoting Andrea Botticelli‘s post:

“it’s every researcher’s dream to receive an email that says: Your paper has been published in Nature Medicine. Today is that day for us, when dreams come true!!!! I want to thank everyone who made it possible and special thanks to our patients.”
