Jean Kaseya: AVMA will help us produce 60% of our vaccines in Africa by 2040

Jean Kaseya, Director- General of the African CDC, shared on X:

“I joined our partners, GAVI (Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization) and the French government, at the Global Forum for Vaccine Sovereignty and Innovation to launch AVMA (African Vaccines Manufacturing Accelerator).

This will help us produce 60% of our vaccines in Africa by 2040, crucial for health, safety, economy, and peace.”
